I'm waiting for my first client of the day to arrive,
last time she came, she parked her car next to mine and managed to open her door and dented my wheel arch ( I know 'cos I saw her do it - but she doesn't know that ) She knew she'd done it, 'cos I heard her gasp........
But I said nothing to her and she never mentioned it either.............
I've parked my car in a different position today.

Gadjo Music
@ 2008-08-18 – 17:08:11
Tonight we are going to see Gadjo play at the High Barns with a group of friends, we've seen them twice before. They are a fusion of gypsy, swing, jazz, funk and sing in a variety of languages as they are all different nationalities, now that's 'World Music' .
It's toe tapping stuff and makes you feel good inside..............
Check them out at:

That's what you get for washing in cold water
@ 2008-08-17 – 22:07:28
Well I had a look at the Bsc degree course in anthropolgy and I decided that I didn't want to spend a year in Japan, Finland or elsewhere on the continent..........
Not a good idea when the one thing you can say in a foreign language is 'Ich bin von Deutschland' which is purely to keep pushy salesmen away from you in other exotic destinations.
Besides which, my husband thinks that all laundry is done by the *laundry fairies*, well who else would do it ?, so I've decided to stay at home and continue with my studies of the Kabbalah and other such things and the washing and ironing............... -
A Degree in Anthroplogy
@ 2008-08-16 – 23:43:42
I had a flash of inspiration in the shower this morning, the heating is up the creek and the water is not as warm as it could be, so you wash and think fast at the same time.....
My insatiable curiousity ( downright nosiness ) about the human condition, and the need to learn has thrown up the idea of doing a degree in Anthropolgy.
But where do I start ? -
Co-incidence - Synchronicity

Funny how somethings just keep 'popping' up until you pay attention to them........
We haven't had a television for the past 8 years - it just stopped working and we didn't bother to replace it, we made the decision to get a new one when we ran out of things to say to each other and it hasn't happened so far. Then I discovered BBC i-player and enjoy watching that when I'm on my own. I like factual stuff, it's quicker than reading books. Then awhile ago I watched and enjoyed the detective series 'Rebus' set in Edinburgh.
Then at a friends wedding last week, we met the man who wrote the script for it.
Last night I watched a programme by 'chance' about 'Hidden Edinburgh' presented by Ian Rankin the creator and author of the Rebus books.A weekend in Edinburgh sounds like a good idea to me.

Awakening to your Life's Purpose
@ 2008-08-14 – 20:10:48
I love Good books that you can learn something 'life enhancing' from.......
so I'm reading A New Earth - Awakening to your Life's Purpose by Eckhart Tolle, I'm lucky enough to be reading it with a small group of friends, so that once a fortnight we can bounce our ideas and thoughts about the book, off each other along the way.
The good thing about this book is that you can chart your progress with the support of an on-line accompanying syllabus at www.Oprah.com - go to the book club section and find a New Earth listed there. It's free to join.
So if you want to make real changes in your life, you have to start with yourself as 'you' are the only person you 'can' change................

What am I doing ??
@ 2008-08-14 – 11:04:55
I am moving into unknown waters by joining this blog, which I have very little idea about, and even why I am doing it at all ? So please be patient with me...............
I have also contacted two old friends from 30 years ago !!! via friends reunited and wonder what the outcome of that will be, their details had not been on the site previously when I had looked for them.
Do you ever wonder why we are compelled to do certain things at certain times and why we also decide to definately leave some stones unturned ?
Our intuition so often goes unheeded and then regretted when we did not listen.
